FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Does membership to Joe Balancer cover all of the TAB techs at my company or is it per person?
The membership cost is for the company and not the individual firm. This works similar to a site license for software.
Why do I need Joe Balancer training?
The TAB industry competes with HVAC, Control, and Engineering companies for entry level TAB Technicians. There is a growing industry-wide shortage of TAB Technicians. Trained, competent technicians are in high demand. TAB technicians can earn excellent income.

I have a specific question I would like to ask.
You can email your question to support@joebalancer.com
How long will it take to complete all of the Joe Balancer modules?
It really depends on how much time you can dedicate to it. We have found most technicians average about 45 minutes per module. Some longer some shorter based on the information in the module and the personal experience of the technician.
What is covered in the Customer Service module?
Joe Balancers module focuses on “communication”. Many TAB technicians are reluctant to keep customers informed about the TAB status of their project. The Joe Balancer Customer Service module explains when, why, and how to keep customers informed.
Why is on-line training better than classroom or field training?
On-line is better than classroom training because it is easy and convenient. You can learn on your schedule. And questions are a simple email away. Many aspects of field or training cannot be duplicated on line. Nor should they be. You cannot not learn everything you need to know from Joe Balancer.com. However, Joe Balancer.com does enjoy the convenience of perfect teaching circumstances. I can’t count how many times I’ve attempted to provide specific training in the field only to find the job conditions working against me. The pump doesn’t have PT ports, the controls are not complete, no dampers installed, the economizer is not wired, and so on. What was to be TAB field training turns into a demonstration in frustration and deficiency reports.
Do I have to be an AiRNAB user to sign up for Joe Balancer?
No. The training modules are not associated with AiRNAB. However, the check-errors program available for sale at the Joe Balancer online store is strictly for use by AiRNAB users.
